

As general manager for Wasp Barcode Technologies, Tom O’Shea sets the strategic direction of the company. O’Shea also serves as vice president for Informatics, Inc., the parent company of Wasp. In his eight years at Informatics, he has overseen a wide range of activities including information technology, purchasing and warehouse activities. He is currently responsible for all shared services, business process improvements and corporate financial reporting.
O’Shea’s more than two decades of management experience focus largely on the high-tech industry. Prior to joining Informatics, O’Shea was an engineering program manager at Raytheon Company, where he worked with United States and international government agencies to develop and install airborne coastal surveillance radar solutions. He started his professional career as a design and development engineer at Texas Instruments.
O’Shea earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rochester and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Dallas. He is an active member of Christ Church Plano, an Anglican community, where he and his wife teach Sunday school in the children’s ministry and are members of a small group. He is an avid golfer and enjoys helping coach various sports teams for his two children.
