Wasp offers a wide selection of barcode labels to meet your application requirements. Our barcode label selection includes dozens of sizes in both direct thermal and thermal transfer barcode labels. Our barcode ribbons come in a variety of sizes as well, along with three different material types: wax, wax/resin, and resin.

We offer a full selection of asset tags, both pre-printed and blank asset tags. If you only require a limited number of asset tags, you may find our pre-printed asset tags the right solution for you, as they do not require the purchase of a barcode printer. Our asset tags come in three different materials: paper, polyester, and kimdura.

So, What Kind of Ribbons and Labels Should I Get?

Wasp Labels
	Direct Thermal Packs	Thermal Transfer Packs (Ribbon Required)
	Direct Thermal Printing burns an image directly onto the label and works similarly to a traditional fax machine with heat sensitive paper. With direct thermal printing, the image deteriorates over time, especially in sunlight or high-temperature environments (e.g. unairconditioned warehouses), but does not require a ribbon.	Thermal Transfer Printing requires a ribbon in which the ribbon ink is burned directly onto the label stock. Labels produced from thermal transfer will last much longer than labels generated from direct thermal transfer	Do you know the W and L of your label ?

	WWR ribbon is a general purpose ribbon particularly adapted to standard label printing where good mechanical resistance is required. The ink provides an excellent print quality of picket and ladder barcodes, very small text, large characters, and logos.The ribbon structure allows printing on various label stock, such as coated and uncoated papers, and some synthetics. The printed ink offers improved smudge resistance compared to standard wax, and heat resistance up to 65 C (149 F). These characteristics remain at speeds up to 300mm/s (12 ips), and with 200, 300 and 600 DPI printheads. WWX features Wasp's outstanding backcoat technology ensuring excellent printhead protection, no clogging and prevents static build up.	WPR ribbon combines a multi label stock combatibility with a good level of performaces. This high versatility allows it to fulfill the requirements of many applications. The ink provides an excellent printing quality of all types of barcodes, very small text, large characters, and logos. The ribbon structure allows printing on various kinds of label stock, such as uncoated papers, coated papers, and synthetics. The printed image offers a good level of smudge resistance, and heat resistance up to 100¾C (212¾F). Those characteristics remain at speeds up to 300mm/s (12 ips), and with 200, 300 and 600 DPI printheads, making this ribbon perfectly adapted either to the labeling market or the flexible packaging printing market. WPR features Wasp’s outstanding backcoat technology ensuring excellent printhead protection, no clogging, prevents static buildup.	WXR ribbon is dedicated to applications requiring a perfect printing quality and excellent mechanical resistances. The ink provides excellent print quality of all types of barcodes, very small text, large characters, and logos. The ribbon structure allows printing on many kinds of synthetics (PVC, PET, PE, PP), on various matte and high gloss coated papers and even on some uncoated papers. The printed image offers an excellent smudge and scratch resistance, and good heat resistance, up to 180¾C (356¾F). Those characteristics remain at speeds up to 250mm/s (10 ips), and with 200, 300 and 600 DPI printheads, making this ribbon perfectly suited to the labeling market, and allowing its use in the flexible packaging printing market. WXR features Wasp’s outstanding backcoat technology ensuring excellent printhead protection, no clogging, and prevents static buildup.
