United Mechanical’s employees use thousands of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other equipment to complete thousands of mechanical work service projects for clients every day. The tools were being tracked manually via a paper-based, handwritten sign-out sheet. This antiquated system was inefficient and largely underutilized by employees which led to lost or misplaced tools.
The company needed a solution which would enable them to easily track the location of each tool as well as who last used the tool.
