Before adopting an inventory solution, VUSN’s Simulation and Skills department struggled to manage its medical supplies. Items were often misplaced or unavailable when needed, leading to wasted time, ordering mistakes, and increased frustration among staff. Without a reliable tracking system, managing spend across programs was also a challenge.
This manual, inconsistent approach made it difficult to maintain the level of operational oversight required in a high-stakes academic healthcare setting.
VUSN chose InventoryCloud for its affordability, intuitive interface, and ability to streamline supply tracking across programs. The system was configured to track medical consumables and monitor spending by department, giving staff better visibility into what’s in stock and what’s being used.
With three users and an admin in the system, the Simulation and Skills team can now manage inventory with accuracy and confidence. Christy Carrigg, the program manager, completed training with a Wasp expert and continues to lead one-on-one onboarding for other staff to ensure everyone is up to speed.
VUSN has been using InventoryCloud for several years. Today, staff track orders, on-hand quantities, and usage with ease. The process is simple, reliable, and well received by employees. Training is easy to scale. Visibility is stronger. The risk of over-ordering or running out of key supplies is gone.
