Asset management at Barton was previously handled through spreadsheets. Over time, the process became overwhelming and error-prone. With multiple employees editing the file, updates were inconsistent and equipment records were often inaccurate. Valuable assets were not being tracked reliably, which led to wasted time, misplaced items, and mounting frustration.

Today, Barton’s Information Services and Facilities Management departments use AssetCloud to track over 4,600 assets, including IT equipment, vehicles, and furniture. The system is managed by four users who now have complete visibility into what they own and where it’s located.
The shift to AssetCloud has saved the college around five hours per week that were previously spent searching for missing assets. That time savings directly translates into cost savings and smoother operations.
