Asset management at Barton was previously handled through spreadsheets. Over time, the process became overwhelming and error-prone. With multiple employees editing the file, updates were inconsistent and equipment records were often inaccurate. Valuable assets were not being tracked reliably, which led to wasted time, misplaced items, and mounting frustration.
Pamela Henning, Director of Management Information Systems, set out to find a better way. After researching available solutions, she chose AssetCloud from Wasp Tracking Solutions for its features, value, and ease of implementation.
Today, Barton’s Information Services and Facilities Management departments use AssetCloud to track over 4,600 assets, including IT equipment, vehicles, and furniture. The system is managed by four users who now have complete visibility into what they own and where it’s located.
The shift to AssetCloud has saved the college around five hours per week that were previously spent searching for missing assets. That time savings directly translates into cost savings and smoother operations.
“AssetCloud has everything we need and more,” said Henning. “Not to mention, the price is very reasonable and the customer service has been outstanding.”
Staff members appreciate how user-friendly the system is. It has helped streamline processes and made asset tracking more accurate and efficient.
“I would absolutely recommend AssetCloud to others,” said Henning. “It’s a great product that makes asset tracking much more effective. Wasp’s staff has always taken the time to offer support when we need it. It’s made the whole transition and implementation a pleasant experience.”
