Wasp Barcode Technologies announced the release of
Wasp Inventory Control Version 6. Wasp Inventory Control V5 was a huge success for managing inventory for small to medium sized businesses. Wasp did not want to rest on their laurels, though. They spent a lot of time with their customers and reseller partners to discuss what needed to be tweaked and features to add to Wasp Inventory Control V6.
Wasp Barcode Technologies just release Inventory Control V6. They have added many new features on top of the very popular Inventory Control V5. The most anticipated is the real-time data collection available in the Professional and Enterprise editions.
Probably the biggest difference in V6 is the Pro and Enterprise editions are now called RF Professional and RF Enterprise. The “RF” in the name means that Wasp now offers a real-time data collection method. Real-time data collection has the following benefits:
- Real-time visibility of stock levels, locations, and more
- Update inventory data instantly using 802.11 b/g/n connectivity
- Use existing 802.11 b/g/n network or the Wasp Unifi™ RF hardware solution
Wasp also added features to the Standard edition. Users can attach images to inventory records and can utilize different inventory control methods, including LIFO, FIFO, and Moving Average, to have more accurate tracking of inventory costs. New enhanced reporting methods allow the user to get more detailed information on their inventory.
Paul Cote, Solution Sales Consultant at System ID Warehouse, says, “I’m excited about Inventory Control Version 6 because the additional features will provide a greater service for our clients.”
System ID is looking forward to working with this new version and, as always, is here to answer any questions you may have.
